Terms of Use

1. Legal Notice

BeThere is a service operated by BOLD TECH, SAS, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 891 630 782, with VAT number FR85 891 630 782, having its registered office at CENTRAL 19 rue des Petites Écuries, 75010 Paris, France. A simplified joint-stock company (SAS), categorized as a Small or Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) with 6 to 9 employees (as of 2022).

2. Purpose of the Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the use of BeThere, an internal event management solution allowing companies to create, manage, and promote corporate events (trainings, sport, celebrations, farewells, team building, etc.). Events are published via Slack for easy access and registration, with the option to use the web app. Upon registration, participants receive an email invitation.

BeThere services are exclusively intended for professional use by companies.

3. Access to the Service

Access to BeThere is available exclusively via Slack integration. Creating an account requires connection via Slack. No account is available to private individuals.

4. Features

BeThere offers the following functionalities:

  • Creation and management of internal corporate events;
  • Event publication within Slack;
  • Registration and unregistration via Slack and web app;
  • Polls and surveys;
  • Photo collection post-event;
  • User and permissions management;
  • Email invitations for registered participants.

No functional limitations are applied beyond the terms of your subscription.

5. User Obligations

Users must comply with applicable laws and refrain from publishing or organizing events containing any illicit, hateful, pornographic, violent, or discriminatory content.

BOLD TECH reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to BeThere without notice in case of any breach of these Terms or illegal activities.

6. Liability

BeThere is provided "as is" without any guarantee of availability or performance. BOLD TECH disclaims any liability for:

  • Service interruptions or bugs;
  • User-generated content and events;
  • Damages resulting from use of the service.

No SLA (Service Level Agreement) is provided.

7. Personal Data

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Use of the service implies acceptance of this Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and design elements of BeThere (including trademarks, software, visuals, and texts) are the exclusive property of BOLD TECH and are protected by intellectual property laws. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use BeThere for their internal corporate needs and may not reproduce, modify, or reuse any component of the service.

9. Pricing, Trial Period, and Billing

BeThere offers a free trial for a period of one (1) month from account activation.

At the end of the trial, the service is billed at €25 per month, covering up to fifty (50) active users. Each additional active user will be billed €0.50 per month.

Invoices are issued monthly in advance at the beginning of each month.

Deactivated users during month X are not billed in month X+1. No refunds will be issued in case of late user deactivation or user mismanagement.

The subscription is non-refundable and non-cancellable for the ongoing month; any month started is due in full.

10. Modifications

BOLD TECH reserves the right to unilaterally modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of BeThere implies acceptance of the latest version of the Terms.

11. Termination

The Terms apply for an indefinite duration. Users may terminate their subscription at any time. BOLD TECH may terminate a user account without prior notice in case of breach of these Terms. The termination will not affect any amount already paid.

12. Slack Integration Disclaimer

BeThere integrates with Slack but is a service provided independently by BOLD TECH. Slack Technologies LLC is not responsible for the service provided by BeThere.

Users can manage data requests (including access, deletion, and portability) via the Slack interface as well as through BeThere support. BeThere follows Slack's platform policies and API guidelines.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
